Confidence at the helm. Clarity across complex systems.

Learn to navigate — at sea, in complexity, in leadership.

Neptunia applies the same navigation principles in three arenas:
• Boat confidence training
• Global maritime engagement
• Strategic advisory

When conditions shift, calm navigation is not a trait. It is a practice.

Become a confident boat captain — step by step

You love motor boating!

But when it is time to dock — something shifts.

Your shoulders tense.
Other boats seem too close.
People are watching.

Maybe you hand over the helm.
Maybe you avoid tight harbors.
Maybe you tell yourself you “just need more time.”

What if it is not about time?

What if it is about structured practice — and understanding both the boat and your own reactions under pressure?

Neptunia’s online course is designed for those who want to move from hesitation to calm command. Step by step. Without ego. Without shouting instructors. Without unnecessary theory.

This is where confidence becomes practical.

About Maria

My life moves between Sweden, Italy and Taiwan.
Between boardrooms and boat decks.
Between structured strategy and boating, firm leadership in tight harbours with gusty winds.

For many years, international institutional work and maritime coaching ran as two separate tracks.

Neptunia represents their integration.

Confidence at the helm and clarity in complex systems require the same thing:
awareness, structure, and the ability to remain calm when conditions shift.

Neptunia is where seamanship meets systems thinking —
where docking in crosswind and leading through uncertainty require the same skills.

Field research & global engagement

Boats are not only leisure.

In many parts of the world, they are infrastructure — carrying people, food, materials, knowledge and opportunity.

Neptunia Bluezone Expedition is a global program inaugurated in Lamu, Kenya, February 2026. A place where boats are daily necessity, not weekend recreation.

Blue Zones — regions where people live longer, healthier lives — are often coastal or island-based. They are shaped by water, mobility and maritime culture.

Neptunia Bluezone Expedition explores the intersection between:

  • Coastal resilience

  • Responsible boat life

  • Renewable maritime energy

  • Social cohesion and economic inclusion

This is not charity.
It is strategic solidarity — applying navigation principles to coastal resilience and maritime futures.

My background in development finance, institutional communication and systems change meets my lived maritime experience here. The expedition documents, connects and supports places where thriving communities and sustainable maritime futures are inseparable.

Strategic Advisory & International Engagements

Sweden-based. International by practice.

As a Digital and Nautical nomad, I work as an independent strategic advisor.

My professional background includes executive leadership within development finance, international cooperation and institutional transition. I have served as Director of Communications at Swedfund International and Executive Director for Amref Health Africa in the Nordic region.

I take on time-bound advisory assignments across public, private and civil society sectors.

I am most useful when direction must become action:

  • During scaling or restructuring

  • When strategy must become operational

  • When multiple stakeholders need alignment

  • In high-stakes communication environments

  • In emerging or fragile contexts

I typically hold several advisory roles in parallel. This allows independence of perspective while remaining closely engaged.

Based in Sweden.
Working internationally.
