I was 35 when I started driving a motorboat.
I knew nothing — but I had a dream of experiencing the Stockholm archipelago on my own terms.
In the beginning, I did everything “right.” I took courses, followed instructions — and still felt insecure at the helm. What I eventually understood changed everything: it wasn’t the boat that was the problem. It was my state of mind.
When I began working with awareness, clarity and leadership psychology, maneuvering became simple — and enjoyable.
Since 2016, I have helped more than 2,000 people build confidence and calm on the water. Neptunia combines practical seamanship with mindset, embodied awareness and leadership principles. I hold a Class 8 captain's license and am a certified leadership coach.
For more than three decades, I have worked internationally with strategic communication, sustainable development and systems change — often in complex and fragile contexts. I have supported leaders and organizations navigating uncertainty, stakeholder dialogue and long-term transformation.
Over time, I saw the connection:
Handling a boat in shifting winds is not so different from leading in complex systems. Both require presence, responsibility and an inner compass.
For many years, maritime life and international development ran in parallel in my career. With Neptunia Blue Zone Expedition, they converge — exploring how responsible boat culture, thriving coastal communities and sustainable leadership are deeply interconnected.
My life remains international and relational, shaped by time in Sweden, Italy and Taiwan — and by an early connection to coastal heritage work in Lamu, Kenya.
Neptunia begins at the helm.
It expands into how we navigate life, leadership and sustainability with clarity and trust.
